After you submit the test
Follow the test staff’s instructions and do not leave until permitted. UHR collects the paper tests before participants can depart. Keep access to your registration account and retain messages from UHR. Do not share information that could be used to identify or access your account.
When and where the result will appear
On 26 August 2026, UHR stated that results from the first test will be published in October. The exact date will be announced later, and your result will be available in your registration account. Check the UHR account and official pages rather than relying on dates posted on social media or by private practice services.
The result is sent to the Migration Agency
UHR’s registration site states that the result is reported automatically to the Swedish Migration Agency for processing your application. The ordinance permits UHR to provide the information that the Agency needs to assess the knowledge requirement. You should therefore not normally need to send a screenshot as proof unless an authority specifically asks you for something else.
A test result is not the whole decision
The Swedish Migration Agency assesses the citizenship application and all requirements that apply to the individual case. A passing society knowledge test demonstrates knowledge of Swedish society, but it is not itself a decision granting citizenship. The knowledge requirement can also be met through other accepted evidence, depending on the person’s documents and circumstances.
Wait for the official assessment
UHR clarified on 26 August that the passing threshold for the August test will be set only after the answers have been analysed. Private sites therefore cannot determine whether a particular practice-test score equals a pass in the official test. Wait for UHR’s result rather than calculating an unofficial decision.
If the result is not what you expected
First read the information supplied with the result. Contact UHR if your question concerns the test or result notice. Contact the Swedish Migration Agency if it concerns how the knowledge requirement or result affects your citizenship case. UHR says a new registration is required for the next sitting, but no date had been published as of 8 September.

- Store decisions and official messages securely.
- Check whether UHR publishes a result date, another test date, or new instructions.
- Notify the appropriate authority if your contact details need to change.
- Use UHR for test questions and the Migration Agency for questions about your citizenship case.
