Sources and method

The questions are independently written for practice. They are based on public educational material and Swedish primary sources—not on a leaked or official question bank.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Our main sources

The starting point is the Swedish Council for Higher Education's (UHR) public educational material Sverige i fokus. Facts are checked against primary sources when necessary, including:

A source link appears after each answered question so that you can check the information and read it in context.

How a question is produced

  1. A clear learning objective is identified in a public source.
  2. A new question is written. We do not copy real test questions or try to imitate a confidential question bank.
  3. One correct answer and three plausible but incorrect alternatives are created. The question must have one unambiguous best answer.
  4. A short explanation and source are added. Time-sensitive figures and rules are flagged for later review.
  5. The question is reviewed for clear language, unnecessary ambiguity and answer choices that might reveal the correct answer by their form.

Languages and translations

Swedish is the reference language for the content. The English and Arabic versions must convey the same fact and answer, but natural wording may be preferable to a word-for-word translation. Names of public authorities and key Swedish terms are retained when they are important to learn.

The responsible authority decides the language and permitted aids for the official test. Practising in English or Arabic does not mean that the official test can be taken in those languages.

Updates and corrections

Questions should be reviewed when a link stops working, a law or fact changes, or a user reports an error. The date on these information pages shows when the text was last updated; the publication date of an individual source may be older.

Found an error? Send the question ID, language and a current source to hello@provkollen.se.

Limitations

There is no guarantee that the question bank covers everything that may appear on an official test. The format, dates, content, fees and pass requirements may change. Current information from the responsible authority always takes precedence over information on Provkollen.
